The mission of the Bas Fisher Invitational (BFI) is to be a hub for contemporary art in Miami. The first purpose of BFI’s dedicated staff is to keep the space a place for free expression, providing a place for creativity, experimentation and thinking by presenting visual art exhibitions to the public. Secondly, the staff’s purpose is to raise money to sustain and grow the space, to be able to offer support for art projects, and to participate within the international dialog of contemporary art. The BFI will encourage visitors to come to our space and be part of the art scene through additional activities such as lectures and film screenings. The BFI is a place to be shared. It is a Miami community builder.
