Founded in 1985, Robert Mann Gallery represents an outstanding collection of twentieth century masters such as Diane Arbus, Ansel Adams, Joe Deal, Walker Evans, Man Ray, Aaron Siskind and Henry Wessel. In 1999, when the gallery relocated to its new space in Chelsea, it augmented its stable with international, mid-career and younger photographic artists, including Gail Albert Halaban, Jeff Brouws, Wijnanda Deroo, Mary Mattingly, Laurent Millet, Luis González Palma, Grzeszykowska & Smaga, Jem Southam and Silvio Wolf. The gallery’s exhibition program showcases its diverse inventory with exhibitions of vintage masterworks as well as installations of contemporary photography that contextualize and promote newer movements in the field.
