Mehr Gallery showcases international contemporary art with an emphasis on conceptually driven painting. Mehr Gallery opened in September 2006 with a two-part exhibition series of emerging and established artists including Tonico Lemos Auad, Hassan Khan, Karin Davie, and Richard Artschwager. Subsequent exhibitions included the early New York presentations of Ataru Sato, Ai Shinohara, and Ahmed Alsoudani. Directed by Lital Mehr, the gallery is committed to developing the careers of innovative artists. In addition to primary artist representation, Mehr Gallery is actively engaged in the secondary market as both a buyer and seller of historically important works by American conceptual artists.

Mehr Gallery was constructed in a three-floor mixed-use building at 436 West 18th Street in Chelsea, New York, a few steps from Frank Gehry’s famed IAC building. The gallery’s discreet design and comfortable scale allow viewers to engage intimately with artwork. In addition to its year-round exhibition schedule, Lital Mehr serves private collections on a range of art consulting initiatives.
