Drawing around forty thousand attendees each year, Art Basel Miami Beach is the blue-chip mainstay at the center of Miami’s art fairs. Celebrating its tenth edition, the fair now rivals its older and more sedate Basel, Switzerland parent. Check the fair’s schedule for celebratory public programming and projects. The series of salons and conversations begins with a talk by Gabriel Orozco, and in partnership with the Bass Museum, Art Basel also presents installations at Collins Park and performances and screenings throughout the city. At the other fairs, Pulse breaks out of the booth format with videos and installations as part of the Pulse Projects program, and NADA hosts Hennessey Youngman’s art school comedy. Read below for an overview of Miami’s fairs.
