Village Fête In Brooklyn

Founded by artist Dustin Yellin, Pioneer Works Center for Arts and Innovations is throwing its First Annual Village Fête on May 4 on site at its historic building in Red Hook, Brooklyn.

Once the home of machine manufacturer Pioneer Ironworks, the industrial brick building now serves as a showcase for exhibitions, educational programming, and art & science residencies organized by the non-profit Pioneer Works. The center strives to stand at the intersection of art and science, promoting imaginative innovation within the community and beyond.

The Village Fête, chaired by Bob Colacello, Maggie Gyllenhaal & Peter Saragaard, Sydie Lansing, Andres & Lauren Santo Domingo and Liv Tyler, is to be an evening full of performances, studio visits, and of course dinner (courtesy of Fat Radish), drinks & dancing (to the sounds of Ariel Pink, Chances with Wolves, MGMT and Mike D). There will also be an auction of work by Dustin Yellin, Kehinde Wiley, Laurie Simmons, Daniel Horowitz, Bosco Sodi and Sebastian Errazuriz, to name just a very few. All proceeds from the event will go to supporting the exciting efforts of Pioneer Works.

The Village Fête will take place May 4, 2014 at Pioneer Works Center for Arts and Innovation in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Tickets are available online.
