Amy Phelan has amassed a fine art collection of over six hundred pieces in the form of painting, sculpture, photography and video. Ten years ago, the collection began with modern works by Pablo Picasso, Willem DeKooning, Jean Dubuffet and Marc Chagall. Since then, Amy’s eye has lead her to acquire noteworthy art with a contemporary flare, including the works of Ed Ruscha, Gregory Crewdson, Marilyn Minter, Chuck Close, Ellsworth Kelley, Damien Hirst, and Andy Warhol. She invests her time discovering and promoting emerging contemporary art, and the artists who enjoy her support, such as Will Cotton, Marc Dennis, Delia Brown, and Ken Solomon, have since flourished.

Included in Artnews as one of the top two hundred art collectors, Amy is also committed to serving on the board of many art institutions, including the Guggenheim, Aspen Art Museum, and Creative Time. Amy’s involvement in all aspects of the art world, from maintaining close relationships with artists to exhibiting their work worldwide, demonstrates her enduring enthusiasm for and dedication to contemporary art.
