Heather Jean Skalwold

Heather Jean's current style was born out of necessity more than anything else. Mixed media and collage allowed her to work with little space for large canvases or the funds for expensive paints and brushes. Although she still enjoys dabbling with oils or acrylics on occasion, her true love is still working with photographs, ink, wax, nicknacks, and whatever else she finds laying about, anything that she can glue down to a solid surface. Her subject matter reflects her interests from childhood, recreating ancient gods in a modern environment, or exploring old time art and science from apothecaries and turn of the century curiosity cabinets with her own unique style.

Lionel Milton

New Orleans artist Lionel Milton created ESSENCE Music Festival 2008 poster & Brad Pitt’s Pink House Project Artwork. Born and raised in the lower 9th ward, Lionel was inspired by the Crescent City’s unique music he grew up around as well as the deep-rooted people of the city. Lionel’s art has become a well-recognized figure by companies and collectors throughout the country who seek his artistic style that uniquely and vibrantly demonstrates a raw urban energy with ubiquitous appeal and broad demographic charm. His infectious style and imagery have also crossed from design into television, licensing and publishing. You can see more of Lionel’s work at his website www.elleone.com.
