Ramiken Crucible is pleased to present Faggot Carnival,a solo exhibition of original works in acrylic and latex on canvas by New York based queer artist Nolan Hendrickson. Hendrickson’s Faggot Carnivaltakes aim at contemporary culture in urban society with an unsettlingly lascivious and deadpan hilarious point of view. While straddling a host of issues, from controversial sexual vulgarity to the gay adoption of the traditionally feminized position of the ‘inferior’, Faggot Carnivalcreates an ultimate cohesion in Hendrickson’s use of vivid colors and highly relevant wit. In Hendrickson’s rear view mirror, the future looks bright and funny.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Faggot Carnivalwill be on display at Ramiken Crucible from January 20thuntil February 9th. The opening party is January 21st at Ramiken Crucible from 6-9pm.

In addition to displayed art, the book Faggot Carnival, based on the work of Nolan Hendrickson, will be for sale at the event. Faggot Carnival was independently published at Publicide Inc, and is the first book from this series of work.
