The Surrealist movement of 1920s saw the worlds of visual arts, literature, film, and music collide into new philosophical understanding; celebrating the elements of surprise, unexpected juxtapositions and the non sequitur.

Exquisite Corpse (cadavre exquis) was a oft played artisan game in which a collection of words or images were collectively assembled to form a new, imperfectly perfect, image.

This February the tradition continues with the (FAMNYC/Exquisite Corpse) showcase. Housed at the Historic Essex Street Market, emerging artistic talent in Fashion Art and Music will be showcased with a diversity of dynamic, collaborative programming.
