Artlog.com: LES Group Show II
Artlog.com and Gallery Bar present the last in a two-part group exhibition series at Gallery Bar in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The exhibition of avant-garde art from three decades brings together six generations of international artists. The circuitous conditional thinking that marks the title of the show also pervades the works of these artists. They create art with surreal, whimsical, idiosyncratic, and often humorous tendencies, bordering on the uncanny.
Like members of a family, the works share a spiritual similarity and possess strong common features: they are visually rich and beckon the viewer to contemplate their elements.
The exhibition, curated by Lukas Baden and Janet Oh, current students in the MA curatorial program at Columbia University, features artists:
Olaf Breuning, Kit Brown, Daniel Domig, Wolfgang Ganter, Axel Heil, Uwe Lindau, Wolfgang Lugmair, Nadja Verena Marcin, Nicolas Pontow, Tim Roda, John Torreano, and Sarah Zucker
The opening of the exhibition will be on Wednesday, March 25th from 7 to 9 pm at Gallery Bar, located at 120 Orchard St., New York.
The event is free and open to the public.
