New York— The Naomi Berrie Diabetes Center at Columbia University Medical Center, with corporate sponsor Tommy Hilfiger, is set to host the Second Annual Art Rocks! New York Benefit, Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 8 PM – 12 AM, at The Bowery Hotel second floor ballroom (335 Bowery), with Honorary Chairpersons CHARLOTTE RONSON, LYDIA HEARST and MAGGIE RIZER. Committee members include DJ CASSIDY, ARTHUR DEMARCHELIER, KIPTON CRONKITE, LAURA KATZENBERG, TALIA EISENBERG and KRISTIAN LALIBERTE.
ART ROCKS! NEW YORK was created to raise money for the Center’s pediatric program, particularly for underprivileged diabetic children patients. This year, Art Rocks! celebrates the NBDC’s 10th anniversary with a new partner mission – to raise awareness for the emerging local art scene in New York City.
The event will feature 14 up and coming artists, a silent auction curated by LOLA NEW YORK and ROWEAN DESIGN, music by DJ BERRIE and cocktails and hors d’oeuvres by GEMMA.
