On November 1st, 2008, Trigg Ison Fine Art Gallery in West Hollywood, CA, will become the exclusive representative for the artwork of Post-Impressionist/Modernist painter, Borislav Bogdanovich, a well-known member of the foremost circle of painters in the former Yugoslavia. After an absence of over thirty years, the work of Bogdanovich, once exhibited alongside masters such as Renoir, Matisse, Picasso and Chagall, will be seen again, selected from the estate of the artist.
The exhibition will feature early drawings circa 1917-1939, and cityscapes, still lifes, figurals, nudes, portraits and self-portraits. Many of the works will be presented in custom gold leaf frames, crafted by the skillful hands of the late Bogdanovich’s wife, Herma, a protégé of famed New York framemaker Abe Munn.
