This exhibition features manuscripts and leaves from the J. Paul Getty Museum’s distinguished holdings of German and Central European illumination. It highlights masterworks from the Ottonian, Romanesque, and Gothic eras of the Middle Ages, illustrating the startling artistic achievement of one of the greatest epochs of German and Central European art.
